Terms of Service

Last updated: March 13, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Void Vault ("Void," "the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Void Vault is an offline-first encrypted file vault application for Android and iOS. The App allows you to encrypt, store, and manage files locally on your device using AES-256-GCM encryption. All data remains on your device — there are no cloud services, user accounts, or remote servers.

3. Void Pro Subscription

Void Pro is an optional premium subscription that unlocks additional features. By subscribing:

  • Billing — Subscriptions are billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store at the price displayed at the time of purchase.
  • Auto-renewal — Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Cancellation — You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's platform settings (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds — Refund requests are handled by the respective platform (Google Play or Apple) according to their refund policies.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • Remembering your PIN. The App does not store your PIN and cannot recover it.
  • Maintaining backups of any files you consider important before importing them into the vault.
  • Ensuring your device is secure and protected from unauthorized physical access.
  • Complying with all applicable laws when using the App.

5. Encryption Disclaimer

Void Vault uses strong encryption (AES-256-GCM with PBKDF2-SHA256 key derivation) to protect your files. However:

  • No PIN recovery — If you forget your PIN, your encrypted files cannot be recovered. There is no "forgot PIN" feature, no master key, and no backdoor.
  • Vault wipe — The App includes optional security features that may permanently delete vault data after repeated failed authentication attempts.
  • No guarantee of absolute security — While we use industry-standard encryption, no software can guarantee absolute security. You use the App at your own risk.

6. Intellectual Property

Void Vault and all associated branding, design, and code are the intellectual property of Gelotto. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gelotto and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data due to forgotten PIN or vault wipe
  • Loss of files due to device failure or corruption
  • Any unauthorized access to your device or files by third parties
  • Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the App

8. Warranty Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. Upon uninstallation, all locally stored data including encrypted files, settings, and security logs are permanently deleted.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
